Sources and credits

Where every word and image came from, and what the archive never kept.

This is an independent rebuild of the LifeSource Health website. The original at lifesourcehealthinc.com is gone: the domain is parked and serves a placeholder. The company’s LinkedIn page, its archived theme files, the documents it published, and one newspaper article are what survive.

The pages themselves were never archived. The Wayback Machine kept the site’s stylesheets, images, feeds and PDFs, but not one of its HTML pages. So this rebuild is faithful to the company’s brand and facts rather than to its page layout, and it says so on every page that would otherwise imply a reproduction.

Provenance

Where each part came from

  • The company description — the LinkedIn company page, read 27 October 2026: “working to provide cutting edge software applications for Emergency Medical Professionals and First Responders”, incorporated 2015, focused on prehospital and emergency medicine.
  • The headquarters — the same page: 235 Harrison Street, Syracuse, NY 13202. The Marietta, Georgia office comes from Crain’s, March 2017.
  • “Vital Data Delivery that Saves Lives” — the site’s own RSS description, captured by the archive.
  • “Providing first responders and EMS personnel with access to critical patient information when they need it most” — the site’s tagline, from the same feed.
  • The product, the certification and the support address — the ONC costs-and-limitations disclosure the company published (dated 14 March 2017), which also records the certificate number, the CCD/PIX standards, and that an internet connection is required.
  • The six record sets — the six icons the theme shipped with: allergies, directives, hospital, next of kin, prescriptions, vitals.
  • The Ohio deployment and the Jason Hess quote — Crain’s Cleveland Business, 28 March 2017, by Lydia Coutré.
  • The palette and the typeface — the site’s own style.css (both themes): navy #142668, teal #147c8f, light teal #1b9cb5, cyan #42bce4, green #65cb9b, and Futura throughout.
  • The logo, the AtTheScene mark, the masthead photographs, the tablet image and the six icons — the site’s own theme files, recovered from the archive.

What was lost

And what could not be reproduced

  • Every page of the site. Home, About, Contact and any product pages were crawled only through their feeds. The XML feeds alone survived, which is why the taglines here are quoted from a feed description rather than a home page.
  • The layout. The CSS survived; the rendered pages did not. The arrangement on this rebuild is a redesign around the recovered brand.
  • A telephone number. None appears in any recovered source, including the company’s own disclosure, which lists only an email address.
  • Photography of the team or the product in the field. The theme carried stock-style masthead photographs and a tablet render, and that is all.
  • Video. The company published none.

Design

Restored, with two deliberate departures

The colours, the geometric sans, the full-bleed masthead photograph and the slim band beneath it all come from the company’s own theme files.

  • The typeface is Jost, not Futura. Futura is proprietary and cannot be redistributed; Jost is an open geometric sans of the same construction, self-hosted here as woff2.
  • Cyan and light teal are decoration only. On white, #42bce4 is a 2.2:1 contrast ratio and #1b9cb5 is 3.25:1. Text here uses navy and teal #147c8f (4.87:1), while the brighter blues carry rules, icons and fills.

The layout is responsive; the original theme was a fixed-width build.

Certification, in the company’s words

“This certification does not represent an endorsement”

The disclosure the company published is explicit about what its certification means, and this rebuild repeats it rather than paraphrasing:

“This Health IT Module is ONC-ACB 2015 Edition Modular EHR – Ambulatory compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.”
